making a Warranty Claim
To keep things simple and make sure all the details and photos stay together, warranty requests are handled by email. From there, every claim follows the same straightforward four-step process.

What to provide
- A copy of your proof of purchase or original invoice
- The trailer ID details shown on the compliance plate
- Clear photos showing the issue, along with photos of the complete trailer, fully loaded with equipment and empty.
- The date you first noticed the issue.
- A brief description of how the trailer has been used, loaded and stored.
- Any relevant maintenance or service records you have available must be recorded in the Risk Assessment Booklet provided with trailer purchase.

Inspections
- Bring your trailer to the Alltrades Trailers workshop for inspection (if that’s not practical, we may be able to assess the issue initially using clear photos).
- Our team will inspect the issue and document what we find.
- We’ll then determine whether the issue is covered as an eligible manufacturing defect or falls outside the warranty conditions.

Warranty Checklist
- Your trailer is still within the applicable warranty period
- You have the original proof of purchase
- The trailer ID details are clearly readable
- You have clear photos or video showing the issue
- The trailer has been used within its rated capacity
- You can provide details of the maintenance carried out.
- No repairs have been undertaken or replacement parts arranged without prior approval.
- The issue is not included in the warranty exclusions.
Please check with us before arranging repairs
Before organising any repairs, replacement parts or modifications, please contact us and wait for written approval. Work carried out by a third party without prior approval may affect our ability to assess your claim and whether the issue is covered under warranty.
our warranty coverage
Our warranty covers eligible new trailers and selected components. All claims are assessed individually, subject to inspection and the applicable warranty terms, conditions and exclusions.
12 Month Structural Warranty
12-month structural warranty on trailer subframe.
12 Month Component Warranty
All components used in trailer build are covered by a 12-month Component Supplier Warranty.
What our warranty covers
Coverage periods are different according to how the trailer is used and by component. The periods below run from the original date of purchase and are subject to the conditions and exclusions set out on this page.
| Component or Area | Private Use | Commercial or Hire Use |
|---|---|---|
| Structural components – chassis, drawbar, frame, body | 12 months | 6 months |
| Electrical – lights, wiring, plugs and connectors | 12 months | 6 months |
| Galvanised or painted finish | Not covered | Not covered |
| Running gear – springs and axles | 12 months | 6 months |
| Wear items – tyres, brake linings, light globes | Not covered | Not covered |
Our definition of hire or commercial use means any use for business, fleet, hire or rental purposes. Wear items are consumable parts that are used up through normal operation.
Conditions that apply to all warranty coverage
- The trailer must be used within its rated capacity and loaded correctly.
- Routine maintenance must be carried out as set out in section 5.
- Proof of purchase and the trailer ID details must be provided.
- Coverage applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
- All warranty work must be approved by Alltrades Trailers in writing before it is carried out.
What is Not Covered?
Our warranty covers eligible manufacturing defects. It does not cover general wear and tear, accidental damage, or issues resulting from how the trailer has been used, maintained or modified. This distinction is considered when assessing every warranty claim.

Eligible brand-new trailers include 12-month structural coverage, subject to correct use, loading, maintenance, inspection and the applicable exclusions. Trailers used commercially or for hire are covered for 6 months.
Damage, wear or misuse — not covered
